WTVT-TV FOX Tampa - United States Television

WTVT is a full service television station in Tampa and St. Petersburg, Florida, broadcasting on local digital VHF channel 12 and on virtual channel 13. Founded in 1955, it is owned by Fox Television Stations, Inc. WTVT is affiliated with the FOX Network, airing FOX’s primetime shows in the evening. In the morning, the station has its own morning news and information program, in the afternoon, it airs nationally syndicated talk shows and reality programs, in the early evening, it shows FOX reruns. After primetime, it airs its own local newscasts. WTVT faced contversy in 1997 when it let go two of their ancors for trying to run a stroy on the health risks of Monsanto’s Recombinant bovine growth hormone. WTVT also airs local sports broadcasts.
