WHLV-TV TBN Orlando - United States Television

WHLV-TV is a full service television station in Cocoa, Florida broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 52 and virtual channel 51, serving the Orlando, Florida area. Founded in 1982, it owned and operated by TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network), which offers 24 hours of commercial-free inspirational programming that appeal to people in a wide variety of Protestant, Catholic and Messianic Jewish denominations. This station’s digital signal carries five different TBN-run networks: On channel 51.1 is the main TBN network programming. On 51.2 is The Church Channel, with televised church services. Channel 51.3 carries JCTV with Christian music videos and other programs for ages 12-34. On 51.4, there is Enlace USA, consisting of Spanish-language religious programming. On 51.5 is Smile of a Child TV with children’s programming. Originally founded as WTGL-TV by Good Life Broadcasting, the station broadcast mainly Christian shows with some general entertainment programming but changed to an all Christian format by 1985 when it became affiliated with the Christian Television Network. It changed affiliations several times before it was sold to TBN in 2006. In 2006, the station changed its call sign to WHLV-TV.
