Perviy Kanal Australia – Channel One Russia is the first television channel to broadcast in the Russian Federation. The channel replaced channel “Ostankino” that broadcast after The Soviet Union broke up in 1991 as a successor to the First Channel of the central television of the USSR. Its headquarters are in the Technical Center “Ostankino” near the Ostankino Tower, Moscow.
