KQED-TV PBS San Francisco - United States Television

KQED (KQEH) is a full service television station in San Jose, California, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 50 and virtual channel 54. Founded in 2011, it is owned by Northern California Public Broadcasting, Inc. and branded KQED. KQEH is a member station of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) and a satellite llite station of KQED, San Francisco, California. In addition to its PBS programming, KQEH airs locally produced programs with information concerning local interest, culture, history and education. KQEH is a multiplexed channel, with five subchannels. KQED and PBS programming is carried on 54.1 as KQED Plus, with original KQEH programs; on 54.2 is KQED, with KQED and PBS programs; KWED Life, with PBS Encore, is carried on 54.3, with replays of PBS programs; 54.4 carries KQED Kids, with PBS Kids, showing entertaining educational programs for children, and 55.5 shows V-me, with Spanish-language PBS programs.
