WNIN is a full service television station in Evansville, Indiana, broadcasting on local digital VHF channel 9 and virtual channel 9. Founded in 1970, it is owned by WNIN Tri-State Public Media, Inc. WNIN is a member station of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). In addition to its PBS programming, WNIN airs locally produced programs with information concerning local interest, culture, history and education. WNIN is a multiplexed channel, with three subchannels. WNIN and PBS programming is carried on 9.1; on 9.2 is Indiana Channel, with programs about the people, places, history and culture of Indiana, and WNIN-FM 88.3 is carried on 9.3, with NPR (National Public Radio) and locally produced radio programs.
