WKAS-TV PBS Ashland - United States Television

WKAS is a full service television station in Ashland, Kentucky broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 26 and virtual channel 25. (Station call sign) is a member station of Kentucky Educational Television, also known as KET: The Kentucky Network, which is Kentucky’s non-commercial educational public television state network. It delivers the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) national television programming plus a wide range of local programming. KET broadcasts a digital television signal across the state—including high-definition and digital widescreen programs every evening. Its signal is multiplexed. On 25.1 KET’s primary broadcast channel features national primetime PBS programs; KET-produced programs about Kentucky; trusted PBS Kids series; how-to programming; GED programs for adult learners; and programs produced by independent Kentucky filmmakers. On 25.2, is KET2 with popular programming from PBS and KET, featuring primetime national encores, KET-produced programs about Kentucky, trusted series from PBS Kids, and an extensive line-up of how-to programming. On 25.3 is KET KY, the Kentucky Channel featuring programming by, for, and about Kentuckians: legislative coverage; arts, history, health, music, and documentary programs; encore presentations of Kentucky programming and programs from independent producers. Overnight block feeds for recording by P-12 Kentucky schools provide a wide range of instructional and professional development programming.
