WHME-TV South Bend - United States Television

WHME-TV is a full-service in South Bend, Indiana, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 48 and virtual channel 46. It is owned and operated by LeSEA Broadcasting, also known as World Harvest Broadcasting, an organization founded by Assembly of God minister Lester Sumrall. The first two letters of its callsign stand for “World Harvest” and it is the flagship station for the World Harvest network. WHME channel is multiplexed, with its primary programming on 46.1 and on 46.2 is World Harvest Television, a different LeSEA network.WHME started broadcastin in 1977 with religious shows and classic cartoons, sitcoms from the 50’s and 60’s, and some drama shows, as well as locally produced Christian programs. Today, WHME continues to run a blend of classic shows in the afternoon timeslot, when not broadcasting the LeSEA programming. WHME shows Southeastern Conference (SEC), collegiate sports games from ESPN Regional Television. The station also has their own sports division that broadcasts many high school and local college football and basketball games in the Michiana area.
