WFWA is a full service television station in Fort Wayne, Indiana, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 40 and virtual channel 39. Founded in 1964, it is owned by Fort Wayne Public Television, Inc. and branded as PBS 39. WFWA is a member station of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). In addition to its PBS programming, WFWA airs locally produced programs with information concerning local interest, culture, history and education. WFWA is a multiplexed channel, with four subchannels. PBS 39 and PBS programming is carried on 39.1; on 39.2 is Kids39, PBS Kids, with entertaining and educational programs for children; Create is carried on 39.3, with how-to programs and information, and 39.4 carries 39-4You, with the Indiana Channel, featuring the people, places, history and culture of Indiana.
