WCMZ-TV PBS Flint - United States Television

WCMZ-TV is a full service television station in Flint, Michigan, Michigan, broadcasting on local digital UHF channel 28 and virtual channel 28. Founded in 1980 as WFUM, WCMZ is owned by Central Michigan University and branded as CMU Public Television. WCMZ is a member station of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). In addition to its national PBS programs, WCMZ airs locally produced programs about public affairs, expert advise, conservation, tourism and business. WCMZ’s channel is multiplexed, with three subchannels. Channel 28.1 airs WCMU and PBS programming in high definition; 28.2 shows WCMU and PBS programming in standard definition, and 28.3 broadcasts WCMU Create, with how-to programs and information. The station used the call sign WFUM from 1980 until 2010 as the PBS station for the University of Michigan–Flint.
