KAWE-TV PBS Bemidji - United States Television

KAWE is a full service television station in Bemidji, Minnesota, broadcasting on local digital VHF channel 9 and virtual channel 9. Founded in 1980, it is owned by Northern Minnesota Public Television, Inc. and branded as Lakeland Public Television. KAWE is a member station of PBS (Public Broadcasting Service). In addition to its PBS programming, KAWE airs locally produced programs with information concerning local interest, culture, history and education. KAWE is a multiplexed channel, with six subchannels. Lakeland Public Television and PBS programming in high definition is carried on 9.1; on 9.2 is Lakeland Public Television and PBS programming in standard definition; PBS Kids is carried on 9.3, with entertaining educational programs for children; on 9.4 is Create, featuring how-to programs and information; on 9.5 is PBS Encore, replaying current PBS programs, and on 9.6 is The Minnesota Channel, highlighting the people, places, history and culture of Minnesota.
